As of version 1.5.0 V-webmail now supports a DHTML drag n drop method of moving messages. For this to work you must have Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, be using and IMAP account and also have the left folder frame visible.
To perform a drag n drop operation simply click and drag the subject of the message you wish to move. Move your mouse over to the folder frame and when the pointer is over the folder you wish to move the message to let go of the mouse button. When over a folder the pointer will change to a "shortcut" style pointer.
Moving multiple messages at once is supported, though you must select before hand which messages you wish to move. When moving multiple messages at once a warning will popup before the action is performed to prevent accidental moves.
If you have a folder tree with unexpanded branches, and you start a drag operation, you may find that the folder you wish to move the message(s) to is hidden because the parent folder is not expanded. In this situation you could cancel the drag operation, expand the parent folder, and then redrag the messages. However, the easier alternative is to simply hover the mouse over the name of the folder you wish to be expanded, and after a couple of seconds, the folder will expand. This can be continued until the folder you desire is visible.
Right dragging is the process of drag n drop but with the right mouse button. Using the right mouse button instead of the left gives the result of a context menu with two options - Move and Copy. When you drag n drop with the left button it always performs a move, so if you wish to copy the messages you must use the right mouse button. Folder expansion is also supported with right dragging.
